Bag BACK! Give Me at Least 56 Feet...

Man! So much I could write about but idk where to start... SO much is going on. This week I'm just taking time to cleanse and plan. I've been having quiet time, praying, and encouraging my friends.  When I'm asking God to help me understand things, I find encouraging and helping others to be quite helpful in helping me decipher what direction my own life is headed.  Have you ever discovered something about yourself while helping others?  Helping others can be quite therapeutic.  Sometimes we get so caught up in  ME or I... we forget we wouldn't be half of who we were without the help of our support systems.

So what's been up? Hmmmmm...On Saturday I went to a bridal show.  It was so much fun. I ate SO much cake lol.  And I think I found my wedding cake. *greedily rubs hands together* It's called gold velvet. And it was not only pretty but it was GOOD! Most of the cakes only had looks but tasted like hell on its hottest day.  We found a bunch of magazines for FREE and a bunch of venue information.  And we took pictures in like 5 photo booths! lol...But as usual there was a down side. I forgot to pre-register so I didn't have the little stickers with all my info.  I tired quickly of writing down my name, groom's name, phone number, wedding date, address, email, and a million other things! And then, all these people were just popping out, and talking a mile a minute so you couldn't escape.  I'm like, let me come up to you.  One girl was WAY too much. She was talking loud and she has no sense of space boundaries.  And she couldn't hear! She asked, "SO WHO'S THE BRIDE?"  I reluctantly raised my hand and she was gone! Talking all fast.  I was backing up lol with each of her words.  Then I interrupted her and said, "But you need to talk to her," pointing to my best friend/wedding planner.  I wanted no parts of this lady.  But somehow, she ended up talking back to me.  SMH.  Here's how that conversation went...

"SO WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER?"
Rolls eyes and let's out a sigh. "3-1-0-5-5-5-7-7-5-9"
"DID YOU SAY 3-2-3-4-4-4-1-1-2-2?"
"Yeap!"

Lol I told you she couldn't hear! She copied down my address, wedding date, groom's name and email ALL wrong and I let her lol. It wasn't even worth trying to correct.  So I spent the rest of the Bridal Expo avoiding the pushy sales people, drinking apple cider, and munching on sweets!  OOH and I think I found my caterer! This wedding planning stuff is fun.

And I realize why/how girls become Bridezillas.  You can't let this wedding planning stuff overwhelm you.  This is for YOU. Trying to impress others and live above your means will get you broke and angry.  We aren't going that route. Stress free is how I want to be!

OOH! And I've been working on my novel. I want to post some for y'all. Let Hubby read it and he liked it! Yay. He was leery of me posting it but I trust y'all. But I will stab somebody so let me find out of some forgeries.  Hehehehhehehe *straight face*

Look I like cake and all that, especially chocolate cake. But all things being equal, if I had it to do again I'd just want to jump the broom and call it a day.

Cam, unfortunately many grooms do that. They procrastinate on that for some reason. I totally agree about encouraging others helps you. Give and you shall receive is a universal law. This student I teach has been having daddy problems and well you know my situation so I've been talking to her about loving people no matter the circumstance and guess what now I'm having family problems, but I know how to handle them cause God has been talking to me just as much as he's been talking through me. Much love!
